A Manhattan to LaGuardia transfer is $135 in a Business Sedan, $175 in a Luxury SUV and $265 in a Sprinter Van, all-inclusive. LaGuardia is the shortest airport run in New York at roughly nine miles, and outside peak hours it is a straightforward twenty-five minute drive.

The route, the roads and the tolls
| Distance | Typical journey time | Roads used | Tolls |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9 miles | 25 – 45 minutes | Queens-Midtown Tunnel to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and Grand Central Parkway, or the RFK Bridge from the Upper East Side. | Queens-Midtown Tunnel or RFK Bridge. Both are inside the published rate. |
What to know about this run
From the Upper East Side the RFK Bridge is materially faster than the tunnel route. From Midtown and below, the tunnel wins.
Mets home games at Citi Field push traffic onto the Grand Central Parkway. If you are flying on a game day, add twenty minutes.
LaGuardia's rebuilt terminals put the for-hire pickup areas away from the arrivals doors. On the return leg, meet-and-greet inside is genuinely faster than curbside here — one of the few airports where that is true.
Why this is the easiest airport run in New York
Nine miles, mostly parkway, with two viable approaches depending on where you start. There is simply less that can go wrong than on the JFK or Newark runs.
That shows up in the spread rather than the average. LaGuardia's worst case is far closer to its best case than either of the other airports, which is what actually matters if your schedule has no slack.
The practical consequence is that a two-hour buffer for a domestic LGA departure is genuinely comfortable, where the same buffer at Newark would not be.
The rebuilt terminals changed the pickup, not the drive
LaGuardia's reconstruction produced a much better airport and a much less intuitive kerbside. For-hire pickup zones now sit away from the arrivals doors, and an unfamiliar driver ends up in the wrong lane or the wrong level.
This is why meet-and-greet at LGA is genuinely faster than curbside, which is not true anywhere else. Your chauffeur walks in, takes the bags, and walks you to a vehicle that is already in the right place.
On the outbound leg none of this applies — departures kerbside at LaGuardia is straightforward and quick.

Twenty-five to forty-five minutes for most of the day, and up to seventy in the weekday evening peak when the BQE and the RFK Bridge approaches are congested.
Two hours before a domestic departure is comfortable. LaGuardia is close enough that the airport itself, not the drive, is usually the constraint.
Yes. Our Manhattan to LGA sedan rate is $135 against $165 to JFK, because LaGuardia is roughly nine miles from Midtown and JFK is fifteen.
